Chapter 9) Wolffer Premier Cru, 2000
We were very lucky. The idea was born and the year was right. 2000 produced a fabulous vintage and Wolffer Premier Cru was born. With the help of Christian Wolffer and Richard Pisacano we created this ultra Premium Merlot (the first $100 wine on the East Coast) which was successfully launched to the press at Restaurant Daniel in NYC, in 2003. The response to this great wine confirmed my belief that we were on the right track.
